There are many important events that have taken place in Gean’s life. One of the most important events is she learned how to fly a plane, because that’s what one of her biggest role models, Amelia Earhart, did. This shows that she knows what her goals are and isn’t afraid to go through with them. She was a Civil Rights Activist, because she was trying to help other people and the country. Her being a Civil Rights Activist shows that she cares for everyone, not just the people she knows. Lastly, she was accepted into Winthrop College For Women, and by getting into this college, Larson was able to get a job as an English teacher.
