History Agustus Caesar Octavian was one of the first of the roman emperors, in 63 B.C - 14 C.E After Julius Caesar died. Octavian was adopted by his granduncle, Octavian admired his granduncles political and militray work and aspired to be like him. Octavian claimed to be a descended from a goddes called venus, which made people believe he was a living god.During his 40-years reign, Augustus nearly doubled the size of the empire, adding territories in Europe and Asia Minor and securing alliances that gave him effective rule from Britain to India. He divorced in 39 B.C. to marry Livia Drusilla, who had two sons—Tiberius and Drusus—by her first husband, Mark Antony’s ally Tiberius Claudius Nero. They would dump their garbage in the timber and that's what they used for drinking water in most houses! people rarely had pipes to bring up good water. but there were a lot of public toilets unlike newyork the typical toilets had no stalls just long concret blocks with holes in them.
