After the collection of the banknotes, each note was rolled in 15 ml polypropylene bottle containing 10 ml (different dilution of Methanol in Milli-Q water). This method was reported by Esteve-et al11 for complete extraction of cocaine without damaging the banknotes. The bottle was placed in an ultrasonic bath for 10 min for cocaine extraction.
