Zee and Princess Bala both had interests in the colony, and not themselves. Zee gave hope to others to believe in the ideology of “free spirit”, that they should be free to express themselves and pick what they want to do with their lives. And although Princess Bala lived as royalty and was under monarchy because of her mother, she also agreed with Zee and went against General Mandible when Colonel Cutter brang her back to the colony. By doing so, she showed an act of interest and kindness for the colony. General Mandible on the other hand, acted upon his own interests.
