The Yorkville neighborhood, which is located downtown Toronto, is the most vibrant and populated area in Toronto. Toronto is the fourth most livable city in the world, which means that with all of the full-service restaurants, services, retailers, art galleries and parks, Toronto attracts many people (Toronto Star, 2013). Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area (BIA) feature lots of businesses as members, making the association one of the largest organizations in Canada (Toronto Star, 2013). To make the Yorkville neighborhood easily accessible there is a sustainable transportation system, which helps people to get to the any location they want to. I had an opportunity to visit Yorkville neighborhood of the March 7th around 11 am. I got to the neighborhood by subway, from Lansdowne to Yonge Subway station, which took me less than 20 minutes. The Bloor-Yonge Subway station was very crowded by people, who made a transit to the Yonge-University line or people, who probably came to shop to the fashionable Yorkville neighborhood. I was walking around the Yorkville to feel the atmosphere and collect impressions about the neighborhood. During this time the Yorkville area was mainly not very trafficked, probably because it was Saturday morning. I have enjoyed observing the transportation system of the neighborhood and had an opportunity to analyze its advantages and disadvantages. Yorkville is easily accessible area, which is well connected with other neighborhoods. Furthermore, the well-developed transportation system of the neighborhood makes its population more mobile and also more attractive to the visitors.
