Pandas; everyone’s favorite fluffy animal. They were declared an endangered species in 1984, under the Endangered Species Act. Has human interaction permanently damaged their numbers? Will they ever recover from this significant loss? The Yangtze Basin is the primary home and source of food for pandas -but there’s just one major problem- its also the geographic and economic heart of China. There are so many roads and railroads dividing the forests in which they live and feed, that it is breaking up the panda populations and making it near impossible for them to mate.
