If Dr.Goldberger did as he would say and let the prisoners have their freedom that would be insane, what if these 11 prisoners were murders or insane from having Pellagra before? I wouldn’t grant them their freedom, but maybe shorten their time in jail by a year or two. How can one live with themselves knowing that their is a sociopath or murder on the loose? Dr.Goldberger seems to take many risk and chances to get to the bottom of Pellagra because in the article it states “With the cooperation of Mississippi's progressive governor, Earl Brewer, Goldberger experimented on eleven healthy volunteer prisoners at the Rankin State Prison Farm in 1915. Offered pardons in return for their participation, the volunteers ate a corn-based diet. Six of
