During the 1760’s and 1770’s, the American colonies faced many different issues that inevitably led to the start of the American Revolution. During these two decades, there were numerous skirmishes with Native Americans, problems with taxations by the British, and the killing of innocent civilians, which laid the grounds for Continental Congress and the eventual formation of the United States of America.
The French and Indian war ended in the early 1760’s and left Britain with a crippling debt and extensive new territories. This led to extensive taxation by the British upon goods and services within the colonies.
