Descartes created four laws that will help him in his experience of abandoning all of his former opinions in order to figure out many things like the basic truths about life. As well as creating these four rules to guide his reason, he also develops a four maxim code to help guide his behavior during his experience. Even though he decides to abandon all of his opinions, I believe that creating these four maxims were not contradictory to his journey and his goal. These four maxims are able to help him become decisive in his actions and also act as a guide and be a foundation in his journey.
