Wescoe Hall: An Architectural Analysis

It is hard to explain what “bad architecture” is since the field of architecture is subjective. However, in comparing and contrasting Wescoe Hall to the other building on Jayhawk Boulevard, it failed to mock the design of the other halls. Kudos to the architects who tried to make Wescoe a success. Even though Wescoe’s original building was turned down because of insufficient funds, the result in this building is better suited for the campus rather than a 25 foot story skyscraper. There is respect for architects who want to create a modern structure in an obtuse environment. The main improvement that could be done to Wescoe hall is the outer façade.
