Biography is something written relating to someone's or their own lives. The authors incorporate aspects from their own lives into their works. Authors can do this in many ways; through poems, memoirs, and even through songs. whether it is done profoundly or indirectly an author can always find a way to fit in a part of his life. For example, I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior: Memoirs of an American Soldier by Howard E. Wasdin is an impeccable example of a straightforward biography. In this autobiography Wasdin talks about specific events in his life during his time in SEAL Team Six. Similar to Wasdin, Drake implements his personal experiences into his hit song Fireworks. Fireworks is one of many songs from his debut album Thank Me Later that Drake uses in order to introduce himself to his potential audience.
To…show more content… Drakes explains his start through these lyrics “Money just changed everything, I wonder how life without it would go” (Drake 1). He speaks of how the money he earned changed his life and how he couldn’t imagine how his life would be if he never had it. Drake started as a normal kid who got noticed by his friend’s father who was an agent. This agent noticed Drakes potential and got him on a show called Degrassi. Another line from Fireworks that explains drake’s start is “From the concrete who knew that a flower would grow” (Drake 2). This line explains Drake’s unexpected rise to fame. Drake using this line is reflecting back to his childhood that didn’t behold a future as bright or successful as this. Just like no one would expect a flower to grow from concrete. Drake continues to speak of this rise by including the other aspects that it brought. Success brings supporters who encourage, but it is also a magnet for people who are envious and negative. Drake describes this by saying, “Hate is so familiar to me, I’m slowly
