Discovered in 1820 by Giovanni d’Athanasi (local agent of Henry salts; Consul of Britain) in Thebes, the tomb of Nebamun contains wall paintings of which the British museum collected 11 fragments of the different scenes depicted in these paintings. Nebamun lived around 13,000 B.C.E in the eighteen century; moreover, he was a scribe and accountant in the warehouse of divine offerings. The wall painting shows Nebamun hunting birds on a boat, and he is accompanied by his wife and daughter; In addition, Because of ancient believes in life after death, these wall paintings are a representation of preparedness for the after-life of Nebamun.
