Visual Argument An advertisement by BMW shows the healthy leg and the prosthetic leg of a person who was involved in an accident caused by driving under the influence. The visual makes a compelling statement about the effects of drinking and driving. The ad uses pathos, ethos, and logos to get the message across. Thesis? The background is white, making the legs stand out. The visual also consist of words as well as the image itself. These words are vital in this ad to get the point across that drunk driving is dangerous.
