Hello everyone,
Today I would like to talk to you about a place that doesn't exist yet. This place contradicts the way we live today, and proposes instead a new way of living and a new way of looking at the structure of society. It calls for a total redesigning of our culture where war, hunger, poverty, debt and suffering are not just avoidable but completely unacceptable. This place is called the Venus Project.
Today, we are left with very few options. The solutions of yesterdays problems are no longer relevant today. We either continue developing the way we are today with our outmoded social customs and habits which will eventually ruin our future , or we can decide to apply some more suitable set of values that makes more sense in an emerging society.…show more content… This is what the Venus Project is all about. Instead of directing our technology towards building weapons and extracting wasteful energy, this project aims towards directing our resources and technology in the way of sustainability.
I know this may sound very utopic but this project is very serious, and the team behind it is composed of some of the most brilliant minds today. Architects, engineers, programmers, doctors, inventors, urban planners, social engineers, futurists, philosophers and many more form this team under the direction of a man called Jaques Fresco .
Before talking about the Venus project itself, I would like to introduce this man, Jaques Fresco.
He was born in the United States on March 13, 1916. He was a self-taught man, self-described as a social engineer. He worked in a mixture of disciplines related to industrial design and the aircraft industry.
