Verbal Abuse is a much underrated form of abuse; people see it as “just” a word, joke or a statement. The everlasting emotional scars that remain after so much verbal abuse is often overlooked. The objective of my research is to determine whether verbal abuse affects not only the way we feel about ourselves, but also whether it affects the way we perceive other people. I intend on reaching my conclusion by making questionnaires, conducting interviews and doing extensive research using various sources such as the internet, newspapers, magazines and books.
