“A shower of arrows whistled over our heads as we free-fell toward the ocean.”(Riordan, 223). In "The Titains Curse" there are so many more characters introduced, and so many unusual but exciting things happen. Percy Jackson, the main character is a half blood (half god, half human), and he always seems to get himself into trouble. But what will he do when he has two kids he rescued on his hands? "The Titans Curse," by Rick Riordan is a great book for young readers because of its suspence and action. So many people say that they enjoy this book more then "The Lightning Theif" (book one), and "The Sea of Monsters" (book two) which are also by Rick Riordan. Rick Riordan, an award winning author has been passionate writer since he was a child. Both of his parents were teachers and Rick Riordan says the first book he remembers reading is "The Lord of the Rings." In college he double majored in english and history. Later, Rick Riordan made stories for his son, who also has ADHD like Percy Jackson. As Rick Riordan's books were getting more and more popular he became known as "New York's Best Selling Author."…show more content…
For example, in this quote Percy Jackson's mom is packing his bag to his new boarding school, "The friday before winter break my mom packed me an overnight bag and a few deadly weapons and took me to my new boarding school."(Riordan, 10). In this whole chapter wierd things happen, but the imagry adds so much more to the experiance of reading this novel." The oak doors swung open, and the three of us stepped into the hallway in a swirl of snow."(Riordan, 13) Here, Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia (Daughter of Zues) walk into a boarding school and the reader can really imagine what it would look like. With all of these things put together it makes a novel enjoyable to young readers of all
