In the past years, the dispute of whether or not the red-light traffic cameras should be banned have sparked a wide group of the American citizens and have perceived a gradual common picture: the onslaught of automated observing red-light cameras being placed at traffic lights and intersections with a single determination of recording a drivers behavior to issue a traffic violation. The rise of these red-light traffic cameras, which has spread in exceptional numbers to smaller cities, is an undeniably debate, and has sparked much debate between citizens, law enforcement, national supporters, and constitutional rights. These red-light traffic cameras are used to only generate revenue, not to promote safety to the citizens. Opponents of the red-light traffic cameras claim that they exist for the safety, but the facts show that they were installed to generate revenue for the city and to fund job positions for some of the police officers in the local police department.
