Pride is when someone has satisfaction of their own accomplishments. However, having too much self-confidence can be dangerous. People in the world have too much pride that it hurts themselves and their family. Richard Connell expresses that in the story ‘’The Most Dangerous Game’’. Zaroff, an expert hunter, has a lot of pride. He thinks that because he is rich he is more powerful than everyone else. In the story, Zaroff’s arrogance leads to his defeat while Rainsford’s hunting skills and level-headedness enable him to win the ‘’game.’’ In the story, Zaroff’s pride ultimately led to his downfall.
