“Albus, whatever could you be needing from me today?” Snape asked, genuine curiosity
festers within his brain. Severus Snape, Potions Master at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and
Wizardry, was surprised to receive an invitation to the Headmasters office. He couldn’t figure
out what he could want.
“Thank you for coming to tea Severus. I have a favor to ask of you.” Dumbldore answered.
“Well get on with it. I have to bring the remaining potions to Poppy for her stocks.”
“Of course my boy. I would like you to go to Little Whinging to retrieve Harry Potter from his
elatives. You see, he hasn’t responded to his Hogwarts letter, but it is imperative that he
comes to school.” The headmaster seemed so sure that his explanation, but Snape felt

onto his feet and after meeting Severus piercing gaze dropped eyes on the floor, where his
shoes seemed to be quite fascinating.
“Are you Harry Potter?” Severus asked, walking towards the strangely small child in front of
him.
“Y-yes sir.” The boy said, stumbling over his words. He was rather tense. Severus wasn’t sure
if that was because of the way he was so cruelly thrown onto the steps, or because Potter
was afraid of his large and cold demeanor.
“Wonderful, my name is Severus Snape from Hogwarts. I will be your Potions Professor for
the next seven years. Now, is that all your stuff?” Severus questioned, pointing down to the
small pile of raggedy clothes.
“Yes sir.” Potter seemed to say more confidently than before. With actually seeing the child
standing up straight it was hard to believe he was 11.
“Okay, well, you and I need to get back to Hogwarts okay. There are a few people there who
are very anxious to meet you.” Severus could see the reluctance in the young boy. “The
people you will be meeting are very nice people who provide very good company. I am sure
