Friendships should not be bound or limited, nor accepted less based on racial differences. People are so fixed on the notion that Blacks should not interact with Whites, that they completely forget the benefits of having different perspectives. Kevin McDonald in his article “The Black Code” claims that Blacks who socialize with Whites tend to be looked down upon by other blacks. The “Black Code” refers to the attitude among blacks that relationships with Whites should be kept at arm's lengths.
