Scientists have been deemed for as long as I know, very objective and callous people. A scientist is to have a critical eye to their studies and their hypotheses. When a person says ’scientist’, you have a bias of an expert that has an excellent take on their field, and is very aware of their field’s weaknesses and strengths. Because people have these biases and stereotypes towards the scientists, is the reason why people seem quite overwhelmed about the idea of scientists tampering with the results of their studies.
