The Thanksgiving Dinner Chemistry The typical American Thanksgiving dinner can be related to Chemistry in many ways. From whether turkey makes you sleepy, how certain foods can increase human health, and the difference between white and dark meat. All common questions that are related to the preparation of this feast come back to the knowledge of chemistry. The most common question is whether turkey is the cause of that soon-to-be sluggish attitude. Most people are convinced that the turkey is the reason why you become tired. IAA is a molecule associated with quorum sensing. Bacteria make IAA to show other bacteria that they are present.
