I see so many people talking about pay inequality with TSA. We are by far the lowest paid government agency. In many states, welfare pays more than TSA. That is a very sad fact. Lots of people talk about us going on the GS scale. I don’t know that the GS scale is really the answer. But I do firmly believe we should at least have a path to reach the top of our pay scale. As it is now, there is no way any of us will ever reach the top of our pay scale. I think a simple and clear path to reaching the top would benefit all of us. What I did was took a random G scale pay band and did some calculations. The bottom end of this G band city was $51,000 with the top being $79,000. Roughly a 54% range of pay.
