My favorite story was “Victory Lap” by George Saunders. Victory Lap, unlike all the other stories was filled with action, violence, and multiple plot twists. The story started out with a cute, innocent little girl and slowly but surely transitions into a dark, dangerous world with rapists and murderers. Another reason why this story stood out to me was due to the author’s writing style, the author’s writing style was a bit confusing at first but at the same time interesting. His writing style was unordinary because he put the story in a first person point of view told in third person, but by doing this he revealed to us everything the characters were thinking, feeling, and doing.
