I feel the compensatory model is the best approach in the selection process of hiring an Administrative Assistant. The compensatory model is when applicants are allowed to complete all assessments concurrently without the recruiter making a decision to eliminate any applicants until all assessments has been completed (Lindner and Zoller1996). Due to the complexity of the duties of an Administrative Assistant all information should be examined before making a decision to disqualify an applicant. In my experience of overseeing the Recruitment and Selection process I have found that in some cases what looks good on paper is not actually good for the company and sometimes what does not look good on paper maybe the better fit.
