At the beginning of the book Jenny had lied a lot; about who she was and why she was there. To begin, Jenny lied about her sister Liza. She had the camp directors call her by a different name so people wouldn’t know they were related to Liza and treat her differently. When she got to the camp, everyone was talking about how last year a girl was murdered under the bridge that runs over the perfectly teal colored river that flows so calmly and is the perfect place to wade in when it is scorching hot outside. Jenny felt extraordinarily uncomfortable because she didn’t know what to say. She finally told Mikael towards the middle of camp because she thought it was only fair to him. She snuck out and told him so they could be alone. Michael was upset
