Sorority Life
My hair is the perfect honey blonde and my skin always looks sun kissed. My eyes sparkle like green gemstones when the sun hits them. My manicure is consistently exquisite and my eyebrows are always on point. I regularly eat salad and can be found socializing every Thursday through Sunday. I am the picture perfect sorority girl, the stereotypical tall blonde beauty that covers Greek Row. But being all of these things does not mean I succumb to the myth of what a sorority girl is. For our value of service, we are “Bound by a Promise to model service and leadership in your communities, especially within Sigma Kappa. Offering your time, ideas or resources to support the common good and assist those in need.” (“Sigma Kappa Sorority”). We improve our community and do service to withhold our values. The girls do community service every semester to fulfill their duty to their sorority and their community. The service can be done in many ways: hot chocolate sales, competitions, and other creative ways to raise money for foundations. Sigma Kappa also has a significant value of personal growth. Our value of personal growth is extremely important. for personal
