The elder I have chosen to interview is a lady from my church named Sister Romell Stockton, she is 70 years old, so that means she was born in 1945. Sister Stockton said that her health was not as good as it was when she was younger. She has three children and only two are living. She said she really good relationship with, which is something she had build because of the life she lived while she was younger. She told me that the type of life lived when she was younger and all the things she had put into her body when she was a young lady, has contributed to some of the health problems that she have today. Sister Stockton has Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) which is a disease that affects the lungs and the breathing that gets worse over time. She uses a oxygen machine during the day and night to help keep her air ways open to help with her breathing. Sister Stockton also suffers from arthritis in her hands and legs, which stints from the hard labor she done while she was young. This disease causes inflammation in the joins which causes pain.…show more content… Sister Stockton had given herself to Lord over 25 years ago and haven’t looked back since. She believed that if she hadn’t given herself to Lord when she did, that she might not have been here today giving me this interview. So many of her friends has died and she believed that with the grace and the faithfulness that she has given to the Lord is why she is here today. She knows that she has to be more attentive her health and take the necessary steps to ensure that her health comes first. She explained to me that she is gets very tired easily, and there is not really much she can do without feeling exhausted.
