Ishmael talks a lot about Hitler keeping the Jews captive against their will, and the German people relate to his captivity. I know if I was being kept captive my entire life I would envy the world and its surroundings. Ishmael refers back to Hitler all the time, makes me sad because it brings back memories of how unfairly the Jews and Germans were being treated. This section deals with a lot of culture about Ishmael’s upbringing. Which was in isolation and being treated like everyone else. If this was me I would want to change my environment.
