What is black excellence? Well Kanye states in his song with Jay Z “black excellence” that "In the past if you picture an event like a black tie / What's the last thing you expect to see? Black guys." Claiming that black excellence is different than the regular definition that you hear of excellence, because the basic meaning of excellence is to be amazing, outstanding at something, rich which makes black excellence different because people do not expect African Americans to be rich and successful all dressed up in suit in ties, but feed into the stereotype that African Americans are all looking like thugs, with their pants sagging, and that they all must be gangsters.
