In this paper, I am going to talk about issues related with Self-Regulated Learning, and Its application in the development of the Examination for civil servants (Preparation of official state / regional examinations. Occupation of public employment: police, firefighter teacher, administrative, magistrate, etc.). These processes usually carry a wide range of subjects, with long periods of study, which, unlike the school or university, are usually not intensely guided. Due to the current economic situation of (for example) Spain, it is evident the increase in the number of people who decide to make an opposition. Studies on cognitive-metacognitive and motivational factors have been dealt with together for a relatively short period of time, since they were initially analyzed separately, making it impossible to assess their scope and possibilities. As a consequence, the joint approach has resulted in the emergence of the new construct known as Self-Regulated Learning (SRL: Self-Regulated Learning). Such as author of Psychological texts and studies like Schunk, Zimmerman, Beltran, Martinez Pons, Pintrich or Reynolds, come all kinds of considerations and theories about what is (or should be considered) LEARNING. Self-regulated learning, could not be designated in this way if it did not consist of a large percentage of self-employment. Self-management, discipline, and all kinds of conditions or stimuli (internal or external) that provoke and collaborate in the task of learning. In this way, the question posed by my present text deals with the effectiveness of self-regulated learning in its application in the process of preparing official exams. These are the exams that give access to permanent jobs of the government or administration, region, or city councils. This includes, for example, police officers, firefighters, journalists from public administrations, teachers, care personnel, magisters, etc
