Once I learned that we as students had a clinical rotation through hospice, I was somewhat disheartened. I didn’t know what to expect and I’ve already heard some disturbing things about end of life care. The morning of my rotation I told myself I would remain positive and put aside everything I’d heard about hospice. I was willing to base my experience on whatever I was exposed to. Upon entering the Wilson Hospice House a bereaved feeling came over me. I didn’t really grasp my mind around how I was going to deal with someone that was dying.
