More and more companies are starting to realize that having an online platform is a significant aspect of their marketing strategy. As business workers started realizing, certain individuals decided to make a profit from the increase of internet interactions. So humans developed the concept of cybersquatting and it is increasing as technology develops. People make essentially “free money” through cybersquatting, also known as domain squatting. Cybersquatting refers to the “illegal domain name registration or use” (Techopedia). Cybersquatting involves entrepreneurs registering well-known business domain names, or similar to them, and sell the domain names back to the existing businesses in hope of gaining a profit.
