We should be ashamed.” -Barack Obama. Is carrying a gun really worth risking so many valuable lives? Topics such as Gun Control and Gun Rights have remained an important issue for decades. The negatives unquestionably outweigh the positives when it comes to carrying a gun, this is why they’re so unnecessary. When someone carries a gun on them, specifically in public, they don’t realize it but they’re putting everyone near them in a more dangerous, uncomfortable situation then they were with the exclusion of the gun, because everyone is exposed to it. One of the main reasons guns are still debated and even considered is because of the right the Second Amendment provides us. Due to this law, we are restricted from banning firearm, but we can make it more challenging for irresponsible people, criminals, and people who are going to use guns in the wrong way, to own or have access to a gun. Nobody is surprised to hear about a shooting anymore, it’s way too frequent. People hear about shootings and bad things happening due to guns at an extreme amount compared to the amount of good deeds, and happy things in our world.
