There I was standing 3ft 6in in Mexico. Green spray can in hand hands covered with the awkward green I found laying by my grandfather’s old farm truck. Surrounded by people I didn’t know or could fully understand at the time. I was away for vacation in Durango, Mexico for the first time, spray painting everything and anything I could find at the school yard. But it’s not for the reason the reason you think, I was 7 years old in a foreign country trying to understand my grandfather’s language. I knew some Spanish here and there but I didn’t know enough to keep a full conversation going. My grandfather was the Presidente de mi Pueblo, and I was in a meeting with him eating my delicious rice and beans. I heard them mention the school yard needs to be repainted before graduation.…show more content… Little did I know graduation was in 5 days and the town’s adults were going to be painting the school yard the next day, not me. I wanted to help but didn’t know what to do. So I thought ill just paint it for them. So I go wondering around my grandmother’s small ranch house and find the infamous awkward green spray can. I make my way down to the school yard trying to figure out how the paint comes out of the bottle, then I remember how my mom uses her hair spray, well she just presses the top. I press the top & I accidently paint a small child’s bike and my hands entering the school yard and oh lord I get excited. I begin to paint and paint everything I felt needed. Till my small arms grew tired from shacking and shacking the can as hard as I could trying to get every last drop of paint. I throw the can angrily as I couldn’t finish painting the swing set for the kids. Little did I know it was going to explode. I was freighted and yelled so loud that people came out to see why, they all saw what I’ve done and surrounded me as a swarm. In their eyes I was a foreign little boy vandalizing their school
