Twenty minutes passed, and we had returned to the final path for our concluding stretch of path. The feeling of disquiet vanished, as glee took its place. “Cedric, what time is it?” I ask with glee, he responded excitedly “6:50.” We had ten minutes to make a mile hike down the road to the docks. Even though we were short on time, the walk back was exceptionally serene. The gravel path under our feet was tranquil, as our shoes delicately walked across the gravel. The colors of the buildings gave a feeling of warmness as the night became chillier. Hundreds of people streamed down the path either traveling to their homes or leaving the island on one of the final boat rides.
