It was 7:40 A.M. and I was at Chalkley Elementary School because I had made a commitment to help teach Hispanic students how to speak English. There I was greeted by some of my friends. I remember thinking to myself, “Man they have a lot of energy this morning, I can’t wait to go through this three weeks with them.” The vice principal swiftly walked into the room with much enthusiasm because it was showtime. She told us the various jobs that we could do, like get the kids off the bus, show them how to get to the gym, or wait for them in the gym and direct them to the teacher they had. Myself and a couple others chose to get the kids off the bus because we wanted to cheer them up about being here and make them feel wanted. It was 8 A.M. it
