Clara had an extreme dislike for her job. She hated mornings and she hated people. It was undoubtedly safe to say that she hated morning people as well. Luckily, her customers were generally bleary-eyed college kids who were struggling to stay awake for their morning classes. There were a few exceptions though, such as the tall blonde guy —Ian— who shows up every day at eight o'clock to order a Caffè Americano. Most days, Clara already has his order ready, and today was no different. She had set aside his drink, patiently waiting for him to make an appearance as the students slowly trickle in.
