The emotion was tangible on that foggy Halloween night; there was chaos, then there was nothing but the wreckage and blood and me and the man and a cold, endless fate for one beautiful girl who just happened to be sitting in the passenger seat of the wrong car, at the wrong time, with the wrong man, whom she had not even known until five minutes prior; but of course there was nothing we could have done to prevent his psychotic thoughts from choosing her to be the next victim of his innumerable cruelties or the dictation of his depraved words that set out to manipulate her mind into perceiving the same strange scenario that only he could be disturbed enough to imagine.
