Persephone is the maiden daughter of Zeus, the mighty king of the Olympians, and Demeter, goddess of the bountiful harvest. She is the queen of the underworld. Known as the princess of the underworld, she carries curses of men upon the souls of the dead. Kore maiden of spring was abducted by Hades and forced to live in the underworld, and become Hades wife Persephone goddess of the underworld, she had one kid by Zeus her father, which was torn apart by titians and another with Hades. Persephone was abducted by Hades, the king of the underworld. Before she was abducted, she was known as Kore/Cora, Greek Madian of spring. Persephone had two children Zagreus was her first-born Dionysos “a god of the Orphic Mysteries.” He was the son of Zeus and Persephone. Zeus set him upon the thrown of heaven armed with lighting bolts. The Titans grew angry inspired by the goddess Hera, they sneaked into Olympus, tricked the godling into setting aside the lighting bolts, The Titans seized and dismembered Zagreus with knifes, Zeus soon recovered young Zagreus heart, and made it into a potion, he then fed it to his love Semele. Melaina was Persephone and Hades only child, Melaina ("The Black One") is the under-earth or chthonic aspect of the Greek Great Goddess, said to bring nightmares. Melaina is a dark Aphrodite, she represents the dark aspect of the goddess of love as underworld Deity. Most people say she is called black because love making takes place at night.
