Stephen King The Jaunt In this text, I would like to talk about that there are two parallel-running storylines, so it can be a very difficult text to understand. Then I have chosen to talk about the characters and the theme in the text the jaunt, which comes to expression in the text. There are two parallel-running storylines in the text the Jaunt. There are two parallel-running storylines because, the first story in the text the Jaunt is about how Victor Caruna made the jaunt, and how he tested it with white mice, and trying to find out what is wrong with the teleport. The other story in the text the Jaunt is about the Oates family who wants to jaunted to Mars, and they are sitting in a big room and waiting to use the Jaunt, and Patty is the first person to trying the Jaunt, and she is really scared, and in the text Patty said “Daddy, I am scared”. She is asking what happened to the mice again and again, and it sounds like she is curios and worried about how the mice died, and she is daughter in the family.…show more content…
