The heart is a pretty cool thing. It pumps blood through our bodies. Blood flows to the heart through two veins, the inferior and superior vena cava. Their job is to empty oxygen poor blood from the body into the right atrium. They also contract, blood flows from your right atrium into your right ventricle then through the open tricuspid valve. The heart can do many different things. What does oxygenated blood do after leaving the left ventricle? As the left ventricle is releasing oxygenated blood the rest is crossing the aortic valve.
