Figurative Language of the story 1min: There are a lot of figurative language in the poem of “The Sing Song Of Old Man Kangaroo.” One of the figurative language from the poem,”mouth filling song” means that the poem talks about the story as if it was a song that is long and sounds good. Another figurative language from the poem is,”run by a Boomer” means that the run was ran by a male kangaroo. The figurative language,”working like pistons” concludes that while the Old Man Kangaroo was running, his legs worked like pistons on a train. This figurative language is a simile. Furthermore, the figurative language,”like a yellow cloud in the distance” shows that dingo was running behind the Old Man Kangaroo and the author referred him to a cloud.
