In Of Weirdos and Eccentrics, Pico Lyer used intricate vocab words to draw a person in. Words such as quixotic, messianic, and mongrel, all were used to describe complex details. Without those words one could not feel the true charismatic tone when describing the differences between the two. Also Lyer’s sentences structure that is long and involves lots of detail, allows one to connect with the essay on a more personal level. When Lyer uses examples such as, “ Elvis, James Town or Charles Manson”, allows a person to see how a weirdo can be different from an eccentric. One may not know what all of the examples are but can at least get a feel from the others. One example that stood out the most would have been the Elvis example. Lyer allowed
