The reason for leaving North Palm Beach Police Department was due to financial issues, in which I had to work more hours at my full time paying job(s) to keep up with bills. The North Palm Beach Reserve Unit is a non-paying position. On days I had off from my full time job(s) I would have my three year old son for the duration of the weekend. Due to my hectic schedule I felt the need to spend more time with my son opposed to finding a babysitter. At the time I resigned I only had my son on weekends due to his school schedule and I worked Monday through Friday during the week also juggling some collage courses as well. It started to get hard for me to take off work to make some training days with the Police Department too. I started missing…show more content… investigation not because of any incident that occurred on the job, but allegations that happened off duty. The I.A. came out to be me not acting in good police character and violating the code of ethics set by North Palm Beach Police Department. The case was shortly dropped and was deemed as “ UNFOUNDED”. The case was about my girlfriend and I (I’m no longer dating her at this time.) brining her son to a restaurant on a weekday/school night and staying out rather late with her child. I was told by my I.A. investigator, Sgt. Steven Mekoliavitch that I was placed in I.A. due to the fact that I did not act in good police character and should of took my girlfriend and her son home when it was getting late on a school night. I left a voicemail on Sgt. Mekoliavitch’s office line at approximately 12:05 p.m. on September 25, 2015. I left a voicemail on his phone asking if there is any paperwork pertaining to the I.A. and to call me back at his earliest convenience. If you feel the need to call me please don’t hesitate to call me at (561) 718 -7479 or Sgt. Mekoliavitch at (561) 848 – 2525. I look forward to hearing from you and to discuss my candidacy for this position, also having an opportunity of a personal interview with the City Of Riviera Beach Police
