The artist Leonilo “Neil” Ortega Doloricon was born in 1957 in Surigao del Sur. He is one of the social contemporary artists who pursue to produce artworks that are charged with social commentary. In the art scene of the Philippines, Doloricon is well cited artist in publications of art critics and art historians. He aims to promote awareness and raise discussion with his artworks about the snippets of society. Issues confronting society have been the subject of his works.
