In order to take an ethical action regarding Natalie’s poor behavior, the four principles of ethical behavior should be applied first. The four principles are rights, justice, utility, and care.
As far as rights are concerned, giving Natalie an honest evaluation would be the ethical action since the professor has the right to know the truth about the behavior of each member of the team.
Regarding justice, each member of the team should be evaluated based only on the work they did. Since Natalie didn’t do the work she was supposed to do, she deserves to get a bad grade. Also, the other members deserve to get grades higher than Natalie since they did the work she was supposed to do.
