One of the major causes or morbidity and mortality in the adult population is myocar-dial infarction (MI) and most frequently is related with atherosclerotic disease of the coro-nary arteries. Cardiac muscle has the high metabolic demands, an ischemia or infraction can occur as a result of insufficient oxygen and nutrients supply delivered via the coronary arter-ies. (Anderson & Braun 2006).
