Monk was a popular show. It won one Golden Globe award and was nominated for 19 others (Monk). Every episode has an intriguing storyline even though, the main idea of every episode is the same. Monk is about an OCD private consultant as a detective to a police department. He uses his disability as an ability. With his OCD, he notices abnormalities in crime scenes to help the police catch the criminal. The best episode is “Mr. Monk and the Kid”. Mr. Monk meets a little kid named Tommy during a case and falls in love with him leaving Monk to want to adopt Tommy. Social services tells him he is not suited to take care of a child because of his disability. This episode is the best because of the loving and warmth you feel while watching it. Mr. Monk took Tommy on a walk, in the beginning of the episode, to talk to him about a case he was on. The way Monk talks about Tommy after taking him on a walk, melts my heart. Monk is excited and starts telling everyone “every time I tried to say goodbye he-he just hugged me tighter, even tighter” (Monk T-3015). The characters set the scene, by talking amongst each other in order for the viewers to know what is happening or going to happen. For example, at the beginning of the episode the little boy is lost and then found, holding a finger. This causes the police to come, therefore Monk meeting the little kid, begining my favorite scene. Monk and Tommy are walking in the park to find where he found the finger. Monk does not like anything dirty because of his OCD but, Tommy goes to put a stick in his mouth causing Monk to take out his disinfectant wipes. He tells Tommy, “Tommy, don't don't put that in your mouth. No. See? That is nature. See. We never put that in our mouth. Nature is dirty.” then gives Tommy a wipe to keep for later (Monk
