SYNDROMES is a Norwegian short film that was created in 2011 by Kristoffer Borgli and The Golden Filter, a New York City electronic duo consisting of Penelope Trappes and Stephen Hindman. It tells the story of a nameless young teenaged girl with mysterious capabilities that finds herself unwillingly involved in a world where she is forced by her mother to use her special healing talents to help cure members of the ailing upper class. The idea for the film itself was based on the song Mother by The Golden Filter. The song is about inevitable loss and the fear it can instill in people.
